The Easiest “SEO” definitions…

This is a term that attracted so much attention and development in the last decade so I decided to go on a small journey of definition compilation. That sound’s quite interesting, I sort out the very simple definitions of SEO (Search Engine Optimization) by different people all over the world. The definitions are quite short but very precise. Let roll on…

“SEO is where most small businesses start”

“SEO is simply the art and science of enhancing certain dynamic of web site to increase how high a site is rank by the top search engines”

“SEO is important to make a website successful in the world”

“SEO is optimizing each page of your website to make it ready to be indexed by “Search Engines” ”

“SEO is the process of tailoring a website”

“SEO is the optimization of a web site so that it will satisfy your visitors needs”

“SEO is critical to your website’s online marketing success”

“SEO is not dirty business”

I  think these simplified definitions shows why SEO has become one of the  most important terms used by developers or website owners.  According to Wikipedia, It is the process of improving the volume or quality of traffic to a web site from search engines via “natural” or un-paid (“organic” or “algorithmic”) search results as opposed to search engine marketing (SEM) which deals with paid inclusion. Typically, the earlier (or higher) a site appears in the search results list, the more visitors it will receive from the search engine. SEO may target different kinds of search, including image searchlocal searchvideo search and industry-specific vertical search engines. This gives a web site web presence.
